Bruno Mars performed during the half time show of Super Bowl XLVIII. The show started out different than some might have expected with a drum solo from Mars.

Some had him as early candidate as Super Bowl MVP:

Some had high expectations.

Some weren’t fans.

Most thought he killed it.

Then the Red Hot Chili Peppers came out and things got better.

Then things went from hype to more sentimental with a tribute to the armed forces before playing a slower song.
