The Dallas Mavericks look to be playoff bound this year, but the question is how far can they realistically get in the postseason with the roster they have? There’s a chance they can go on a run, but Sam Amico from FOX Sports states that Mark Cuban could decide to be active at the trade deadline to secure that one player that puts his team over the top in the West.

Per Amico:

"Another team that hasn’t made much news but could be active around the deadline: the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs feel as if they’re a piece away from challenging the likes of the Thunder, San Antonio Spurs and others in the West. If they can get Turner for a draft pick, they’ll do it."

It’s unclear if the Mavs would look at anyone else to add at the deadline as they aren’t going to be looking to disrupt their roster too much. That being said, if a deal to get that one player to put them over the top comes around, Cuban might be hard pressed not to make it even if it ends up costing a little more than he wants.
