The Houston Texans have a new coach in Bill O’Brien and there could be some change coming towards the team. One of those is expected to be the release of quarterback Matt Schaub who is $11 million in 2014 salary and bonuses. National Football Post’s Len Pasquarelli shared some “scuttlebutt” that the Raiders might be interested in Schuab if he is released.

From National Football Post:

"Just some scuttlebutt, but if (when?) the Houston Texans release Matt Schaub, the Raiders could be among the teams interested in the quarterback. Schematically, it isn’t a great fit, and Schaub is more a “systems” guy, but it’s said he has some fans in the organization and would be a stabilizing factor."

The Texans could take a quarterback with their number one overall pick in the draft, though Pasquarelli writes that O’Brien isn’t as locked in on Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles as you might think or hear.
