NBA Trade Rumors: Brooklyn Nets not looking to trade Brook Lopez

The Brooklyn Nets are currently trying to decide the best way to go about making a run in the postseason and one way teams adjust their rosters this time of year is to make a trade. One player that could net Brooklyn a nice return is injured center Brook Lopez, as despite being out for the season with a foot injury, he could net a profitable return.
But while teams would definitely trade for Lopez, the Nets aren’t ready to give him up. According to Zach Lowe of Grantland, the Nets are going to hang onto Lopez as long as general manager Billy King want to, but if the right deal presents itself, then Lopez may end up getting dealt.
"“We are not shopping Brook Lopez,” King told Grantland last week. “Our goal is to get Brook as healthy as possible. But if deals present themselves, we’ve got to look at them. If we can get draft picks back at some point, that would help.”"
The Nets have turned their season around and they really sort of watched Lopez grow into the player he has become. Unlike his brother Robin, Lopez hasn’t bounced around the NBA and has managed to stay with the Nets his whole career, meaning trading Lopez could be an emotional decision.
Lopez and the Nets would love to remain married, but King clearly hasn’t closed the door on the idea of dealing him before the deadline.
