Pitcher and catchers from across the league are expected to report to their training camps over the next couple of weeks.

Arizona Diamondbacks pitchers/catchers are the first to report.

We’ve been waiting for this day to arrive ever since the final pitch of the World Series was thrown. This means that Spring Training is just around the corner, the finish line being Opening Day.

There are a handful of veteran pitchers who were thought to be picked up already. Not everybody is promised a contract, but a lot of interest could still be on the table, hopefully with a deal or two. Right handed starting pitcher Bronson Arroyo is a man who has received some interest from multiple teams.

Nobody has pulled the trigger yet, but it could have been because of what he was asking for. Arroyo was seeking a three year contract when he hit the market. Right now he’s getting some interest from the Los Angeles Dodgers, Arizona Diamondbacks and the Baltimore Orioles.

The Orioles have also been tied to A.J. Burnett.

Now according to Joel Sherman on Twitter, Bronso Arroyo is no longer seeking a three year deal. He’s currently looking for a two year contract worth around $22 million as Sherman reported in his Tweet.

It’ll be interesting to see if teams are still willing to give an aging Arroyo the money he’s looking for. He finished the 2013 season with a 3.79 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP in 32 starts with the Cincinnati Reds.
