Slated to compete in four events with a fifth potentially to be added later tonight, Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard won’t be putting the “break” in “All-Star break” this year.

(Well, unless you’re saying he’ll “break” the record for most events participated in. I guess that would work.)

Along with competing in the Rising Stars Challenge and the actual All-Star Game, Lillard will also be participating in the Slam Dunk Contest and the Skills Competition (which he won last year). He’s also expressed interest in bringing his smooth jumper to the Three-Point Contest, but the list of contestants for that event won’t be announced until later this evening.

Some Portland fans have already begun voicing concerns that Lillard is biting off more than he can chew. That’s a notion Aaron Goodwin, his agent, scoffed at in an interview with Oregon Live:

"Worn out how? What is he doing? Shooting jumpers? Running a line that takes 30 seconds? Makes a couple dunks? I’m sure he would be doing more if he wasn’t an All-Star. My thing was if he feels like he can do it, do it. I’m surprised more super athletes like LeBron haven’t tried it before."

Head here to check out the list of Lillard’s opponents in the Slam Dunk Contest.
