Linebacker Erin Henderson had a pretty productive season on the field for the Minnesota Vikings, but he’s going to have to find work elsewhere in 2014. The Vikings have announced that Henderson has been cut, something the team was planning to do since he was arrested to two DUIs over the course of the season.

Minnesota saves about $2.1 million by cutting Henderson, who will very likely find work in 2014 with a different team. His off-the-field issues may lower his price significantly and even demote him to the role of a backup wherever he lands.

The Vikings are looking to re-tool their defense, but Henderson being released on Friday had more to do with his two DUI arrests than it did with anything else he had done on the field or in the locker room.
