Mike Ditka believes in the Chicago Bears
By David Miniel
Former Chicago Bears tight end and head coach Mike Ditka has always backed up his former team. I know he’s won two Super Bowls as a player with the Dallas Cowboys, but his rightful home is in Chicago, Illinois. This man is loved in that city and fans continue to dress up like him each year.
Ditka has always picked the Bears whenever they were on ESPN’s Monday Night Football. The man has always believed in this team and I highly doubt anything is going to change that. Now he sat down with the Chicago Tribune and spoke about his Bears.
"“Their offense is fine; they have all the tools. They need help on defense. Everyone saw how good the 49ers’ and the Seahawks’ defenses played. Denver got by with their offense most of the season, but when it came time for the defense to show up, they didn’t. You have to play defense to win in this league. How quickly the Bears turn it around will depend on how they draft. It’s not like they need to fix a million things; they just need a couple. They have to get the right people int he right place. I think they need help in the secondary more than anywhere else.” Mike Ditka via CSN Chicago."
Chicago’s offense will only get better, while the defense will try to straighten themselves out. But it’s great knowing that Mike Ditka knows this team isn’t far off from being Super Bowl champions.
