The NBA trade deadline is coming up very quickly and that has a lot of teams looking at potential trades they can make and making peace with players they may have to send away to acquire what they need. The New York Knicks need to do something to turn things around as it appears Mike Woodson is losing the locker room and is frustrating his players to the point where they’re asking for trades.

One of those players seemed to be Metta World Peace, who reportedly asked for a trade out of New York after growing frustrated with his role. On Saturday, the artist formerly known as Ron Artest flatly denied any such requests or statements were made by him.

There wasn’t a high chance that World Peace would have been traded before the deadline, but at least the record has been set straight by the man himself. A trade may still happen, but in New York it seems anything is possible — well, except winning.
