The Baltimore Ravens have called on a former NFL wide receiver to join their coaching staff. According to the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens have hired Bobby Engram to serve as the new — you guessed it — wide receivers coach.
During his 14-year NFL career, Engram played for the Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs.
The Baltimore Sun notes that Engram is apparently highly regarded for his coaching skills, so this could prove to be a great addition to the coaching staff for Torrey Smith and the rest of the Ravens young receiving corp.
Engram has previous experience as a NFL assistant coach, after serving with the San Francisco 49ers as the team’s offensive assistant coach.
He spent the last three years serving as the wide receivers coach on the Pittsburgh Panthers coaching staff before getting the opportunity to return to the NFL.
