Although many believe the Oklahoma City Thunder should be active come the NBA’s upcoming trade deadline (if not just to rid themselves of Kendrick Perkins), Hoops Rumors Chuck Myron says all is quiet for the Thunder in regards to potential trades.

As Myron notes, the Thunder aren’t exactly the most talkative of teams in regards to some of their moves – something history tells us given how secretive they’ve been in regards to big deals. Still, it’s worth noting the lack of potential moves given there were rumors suggesting the Thunder could be players for Philadelphia 76ers swingman Evan Turner earlier this month.

"All’s quiet on that front, though that front office isn’t exactly known as a bunch of talkers. The popular opinion is that they should trade Kendrick Perkins, but they seem to value him a lot more than most. I don’t think they’ll feel any compulsion to make a move, since they’ve done so well with Westbrook out, and he should be coming back sometime after the All-Star break. Maybe they’ll make a minor move like last year’s Eric Maynor/Ronnie Brewer swaps."

On the flip side, there simply aren’t a lot of moves for the Thunder to make given their elite squad – so barring some small moves, as Myron notes, it sounds like it should be understandably pretty quiet for the Thunder this NBA trade deadline.
