The Golden State Warriors were the young team to watch in the NBA Playoffs last year, and there was a lot invested in them for 2013-14. But after a nice start to the season, the Warriors have plateaued and are a shockingly average 20-18 since starting the new year.

Golden State’s average play has led them to fall into the Western Conference’s eighth seed are are less than three games ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies. It’s for this reason that Marc J. Spears from Yahoo! Sports writes the Warriors are at sam to watch as the deadline approaches.

"Keep an eye on nervous Golden State as the trade deadline arrives. They’re 10-8 since the start of 2014."

Golden State already made a trade that landed them MarShon Brooks and Jordan Crawford from the Boston Celtics, but they’re likely going to look at another deal if they keep sinking in the West. The team has talent, but another big name with an expiring contract could be added before the deadline passes.
