NFL Rumors: Cleveland Browns likely to cut Davone Bess

The Cleveland Browns need ways to get good right away, and it appears that their best chance at getting better in 2014 is addition by subtraction. One player that seems on the bubble is troubled wide receiver Davone Bess, who has been grabbing headlines lately in the wrong kind of way.
As a result of his antics and his contract, Mary Kay Cabot from the Cleveland Palin Dealer believes that Bess will be cut t this offseason by the Browns.
"If the Browns decided to cut ties, which I’m guessing they will, I’m sure they’ll try to recoup some of that money, including at least a portion of the $3 million-plus he’s owed in 2014. The Browns might also decide to file a grievance against the Dolphins, who knew that Bess had been involuntarily hospitalized for erratic behavior six weeks before they traded him to Cleveland."
Cutting Bess is far from a certainty, but if Cabot believes it will happen then it most likely will. Don’t rule out Bess returning to the Brows in in 2014 though, as the team needs weapons and may decide Bess is worth one more season.
