Al Jefferson scored 30 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out two assists and blocked two shots to lead the Charlotte Bobcats to a 114-89 victory over the Dallas Mavericks at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina Tuesday night.

Jefferson, who was perhaps among the biggest All-Star snubs, went 14-of-23 from the field. He helped the Bobcats dominate the inside – they scored 60 points in the paint compared to 42 for the Mavericks.

Jefferson had a lot of help from the Bobcats’ bench, who combined to score 49 points. Anthony Tolliver scored 22 on six-of-11 shooting, including five-of-six shooting from beyond the arc and Bismack Biyombo added 10 points and four rebounds in just 10 minutes.

The Bobcats took control in the second quarter when they turned a two-point lead into a 14-point lead by the end of the half.

Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis scored 16 points apiece to lead the Mavericks. They were the only two Mavericks in double figures. Nowitzki, who went five-of-nine from the field, sprained his ankle in the second quarter, but returned in the second half.

The Bobcats are now 23-29 while the Mavericks are 31-22.
