The San Antonio Spurs seems to have a fountain of youth hidden somewhere in Texas. The team has aged veteran stars that not only stick around and refuse to go elsewhere, but also happen to show flashes of youthful talent that has carried them for over a decade.

One player who has been hitting a stride almost constantly over his career is guard Tony Parker. The Spurs guard is getting up there in years but recently told a french television station that he has no plans of retirement anytime soon. Parker stated that he wants to play six or seven more seasons before retiring.

"“I always said I’d like to do the final year of my career in France, but I still want to play a long time in the NBA for six-seven years, he announced. I would like to have a long career. I feel good physically. I love basketball, I’m passionate. I want to play as long as possible. “"

Parker returning to France for his final season of basketball is an interesting idea, but it appears that plan is still a ways into the future. Parker is just 31-years old which means he can still play almost a decade before he starts hitting retirement age.

This apparently seems to be his plan, which is good news for Spurs fans everywhere.
