The Orlando Magic may be on a little winning streak, but that’s in no way an accurate representation of their season or the direction they’re headed. Orlando wants a high lottery pick and will continue to play subpar basketball the rest of the season to make sure that happens.

One thing they won’t do to ensure the tanking plan isn’t thrown off course is trade away players. The Magic have seemed open to hearing trade offers, specifically for guys like Arron Afflalo, but they aren’t actively pursuing any trades at the moment.

Per Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel:

"“We’re exploring all options that may improve our team,” Magic General Manager Rob Hennigan said. “But in terms of aggressively, actively trying to do something? I would say no [we’re not].”"

This seems to make sense, as the Magic aren’t trying to blow up their team to get a top lottery pick. They are well on their way to at least a top five pick, meaning they can likely keep guys like Afflalo and not worry about winning their way out of a good pick.
