The San Antonio Spurs have been described as being unusually aggressive in trade talks this year, as the team almost never engages in talks during the season. That doesn’t seem to be the case this year though a the team has been mentioned in trade rumors that see them doing things like trading away Kawhi Leonard and being a landing spot for Evan Turner.

San Antonio is no doubt being mentioned in trade talks but Dan McCarney from Spurs Nation isn’t buying into hype and says the factors just don’t add up to the Spurs making a deal at the deadline.

"So could the Spurs use a boost? For sure. They continue to struggle at defending the 3-point line, and their problems in general against top teams can’t simply be shrugged off.But given all the factors involved, it seems unlikely that they’d be able to find a solution worth tampering with their chemistry and/or depth. Fortunately for them, it’s not a requirement for the kind of success they’ve already experienced this season at full strength."

The Spurs pretty much rest their entire roster all season and coast into the playoffs, so adding talent isn’t a priority. Still, adding a name could be a wise move, it’s just not one that the Spurs seem inclined to make.
