New Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi said during his introductory press conference that there would be a lot of common things between the Lions offensive scheme in 2014 and what the New Orleans Saints do. That made tight end Joseph Fauria very happy.

He has since elaborated on why he is so excited, particularly seeing himself being able to contribute like Saints tight end Jimmy Graham does in their offense.

“I’m fully aware of what that means and I do know who Jimmy Graham is,” Fauria said, via the team’s website. ”I have a similar background to (Graham) with basketball and similar height and the way we play. I’m not calling myself Jimmy Graham, but I strive to have the kind of production he has. I think I can contribute very similarly to how he has with the Saints.”

That means more touchdown celebrations and dances from Fauria.
