NBA Draft 2014: Tyler Ennis may skip NBA Draft, return to Syracuse
By Josh Hill
One of the hottest prospects in the NBA Draft this year may be taking his talents back to college. Syracuse guard Tyler Ennis is ranked as a lottery pick in the NBA Draft this summer, but head coach Jim Boeheim says that his star guard may end up returning for another year with the Orange.
Per Seth Davis from Sports Illustrated:
"“I think he knows and his father knows that he’s a really good college player. He has to become a better shooter and get stronger to go to the next level,” said Boeheim. “He’d go in the first round, but look at the number of first-round picks who are already out of the league in the last two years. It’s a huge number.”"
Of course, it’s far too early to be making assumptions about what prospects will do, as the focus right now is getting into the madness of March. But if Ennis goes back to school, it could start at rend that sees guys like Joel Embiid skip the draft, treaty reducing the quality of the class as it stands now.
