The New York Knicks are not sure what they want out of life. One minute it appears they’re gung-ho to fire head coach Mike Woodson while the next minute they’re defending him as their head coach. This dollar coaster ride owner John Dolan has taken fans on just veered in a new direction as a new report suggests the Knicks are adamant about keeping Woodson and not firing him.

Marc Stein from ESPN reports that Dolan wants to keep Woodson as head coach, but he may be swayed by recent losses to terrible teams like the Milwaukee Bucks and most recently the Sacramento Kings — at home.

The Knicks may still fire Woodson before the trade deadline, as this seems like a bad excuse to give someone when you’re breaking up with them. ‘It’s not we don’t want you because we really like you’, says Dolan to Woodson in this hypothetical situation, ‘it’s just we understand you’re terrible at your job’.

That’s a  conversation just waiting to happen.
