NBA Slam Dunk-a-Thon: Which dunk contests will air on NBA TV?

This weekend is All-Star Weekend, which means that the Slam Dunk contest is going to be dominating the weekend. In preparation for the big event, NBA TV is showing a Dunk-a-Thon all day on Thursday which will showcase classic dunk contests from the 80s and 90s.

Here’s a complete rundown of all the Slam Dunk contests that will be aired as part of this year’s Slam Dunk-a-Thon. All times are eastern. 

10:00am — 1976 and 1984 Slam Dunk Contest
10:30am — 1985 Slam Dunk Contest
11:00am — 1986 Slam Dunk Contest
11:30am — 1987 Slam Dunk Contest
12:00pm — 1988 Slam Dunk Contest
12:30pm — 1989 Slam Dunk Contest
1:00pm — 1990 Slam Dunk Contest
1:30pm — 1991 Slam Dunk Contest
2:00pm — 1992 Slam Dunk Contest
2:30pm — 1993 Slam Dunk Contest
3:00om — 1994 Slam Dunk Contest
3:30pm — 1995 Slam Dunk Contest
4:00pm — 1996 Slam Dunk Contest
5:00pm — 1997 Slam Dunk Contest

As you can see, all of the slam dunk contests from 1984 until 1997 will be shown on NBA TV in their original form, only shortened for time constraints. This means that the actual broadcasts of the original contests will be shown as they aired back in the day.
