Victor Cruz pushing Giants to re-sign Hakeem Nicks

All signs point to the New York Giants allowing wide receiver Hakeem Nicks to leave the team in free agency, but at least one star currently on their roster is hoping that he will be returning to the team next season.

Fellow wide receiver Victor Cruz is letting the Giants know that he wants Nicks to remain in New York, but it may not be easy. However, that won’t stop him from trying.

“I have,” Cruz said, via the Newark Star-Ledger. “Selfishly, I would love for him to stay.”

While you have to admire Cruz for sticking by his teammate and doing what he can to convince the Giants to re-sign his friend, he better start getting closer to Rueben Randle, because that is the guy he will likely be spending most of his time with next season with Nicks having a new home.
