Aaron Baddeley four-putted the fifth hole yesterday, and then three-putted the sixth hole:

"I missed a little one, went about five feet, and missed it coming back…I wasn’t fussed walking off.  I wasn’t mad.  I just walked to the next tee and 3‑putted the next; so, I improved."

Robert Garrigus doesn’t need to worry about I-405 this week because he is staying in Santa Monica:

"It’s actually a pretty nice week, if you stay in Santa Monica.  But if you say anywhere other than that, it’s a nightmare.  I mean, you guys know as well as I do, you get on those roads out here and it’s a parking lot.  It’s the only city I’ve ever seen somebody sell flowers and newspapers on the freeway.  It’s kind of crazy.  Doesn’t happen very often.  Here and Baltimore maybe, that’s about it."

Charlie Beljan attributes his success to his caddie’s (Ricky Ramona) ability to read greens, and a better mindset:

"I’ve got a buddy on the bag who used to be a player, and he’s reading greens.  Now I know why I miss so many putts on my own.  He’s the reason we’ve made so many putts, he’s given me a lot of opportunities and I think I just have a bit better mind‑set.  Just trying to enjoy the walk, instead of thinking about it as a job or a career or a struggle.  I’m at Riviera, I’m walking the fairways, playing the PGA TOUR, it’s not too bad."

Jason Allred shot the low round of the tournament, seven-under 64, and is tied for ninth place at five-under total.  Allred’s wife is pregnant with their third child, and he will be leaving if he gets the call:

"Got the best wife supporting me, Kimberly.  But naturally if I get that call, I’ll be out of here in a minute."

Brian Harman explains even the pros need to rededicate themselves to get back on track:

"The last few weeks I really haven’t putted well, and so just kind of a rededication to getting back to where ‑‑ doing my drills and doing everything that I need to get ready to putt well."

Jimmy Walker is at four-under total, and I wouldn’t count him out:

"Historically the winning score is between like 8‑ and 14‑under, so I don’t know, just have to see how it plays out."
