Pierre the Pelican doesn’t appear to be the only ‘Pierre’ in the New Orleans organization who has fans.

Nope, in fact, the Pelicans own the rights to Pierre Jackson who is drawing heavy trade interest according to CSNNW.com.

Jackson, quite possibly the best player in the NBDL has been lighting things up for the Idaho Stampede in recent weeks and has intrigued general managers across the league. However, the Pelicans are very high on Jackson and have yet to get an offer they consider worthwhile.

"The Denver Nuggets and Cleveland Cavaliers are inquiring about trading for Idaho Stampede point guard Pierre Jackson of the NBA Development League, a league source informed CSNNW.com.At the current time, the New Orleans Pelicans, who own Jackson’s rights, have not been approached with a deal to their liking, another source explained."

While New Orleans is expected to make a trade before the February 20th deadline, trading Jackson doesn’t seem likely at this moment.
