Ravens, Terrell Suggs making progress in contract talks
By Josh Sanchez
Entering the NFL offseason, Terrell Suggs is preparing to take the field in a contract year, but he could be getting a new deal from the Baltimore Ravens before his current deal expires. According to a report from the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens are “making progress” in contract talks with Suggs.
Suggs is set to count $12.4 million against the cap in 2014, so it is crucial for the Ravens to extend his contract in order to free open some cap space.
By doing that, the Ravens will then be able to open up contract talks with some of the team’s current free agents like tight end Dennis Pitta and offensive tackle Eugene Monroe.
Suggs appears to want to stay in Baltimore, so it would be a surprise if the two sides were unable to work out a deal.
