The NBA All-Star Weekend was relatively quite on the trade front with a few new rumors popping up and no trades getting made. But while the trade talks will dominate the next 72 hours of our lives, lots of fans and players are adjusting their focus to the 2014 offseason as a slew of big names are set to hit the market.
One name who could see himself in another uniform next season is Miami Heat big man Chris Bosh. The master of the halfcourt shot spoke this weekend with Sam Amick of USA Today and noted that while he’s not going to talk about his contract or the contract of LeBron James at the moment, he understands that things change and people move on.
"“I wouldn’t do that to him, because my answer (about his uncertain situation) would be ‘I don’t know,’ ” Bosh said. “The truth is that we don’t know, and I wouldn’t ask him. And even whatever he tells me, you’re not the same person now that you’re going to be in July. It’s just a matter of fact. You’re going to change.”"
Bosh was both talking about his contract situation and LeBron’s as well. It’s been noted in the past that Bsoh is expected to test the market this offseason and a return to the Heat is far from certain. Bosh isn’t directly saying he or LeBron will leave the Heat, but he’s also not guaranteeing he’ll be back to try to win another title in 2014-15.
