For the past few years, it seems that Los Angeles Lakers star Pau Gasol has seen his name come up in trade rumors on an annual basis. It’s almost a tradition at this point to have the Lakers shop him, seemingly find a deal and then not have a single thing happen.
In the last three years Gasol has been supposedly going to be traded to the New Orleans Hornets, Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers with the Phoenix Suns being the latest team to be close to acquiring him. But according to Sam Amico from FOX Sports, the Lakers are unlikely to find a deal for Gasol — again.
And most everyone seems to think the Lakers won’t be able to reach a deal involving Pau Gasol.
He goes on to say that no one can predict the deadline, which is true, but Amico seems confident enough to report that Gasol likely won’t be moving. A lot can happen and the Lakers may lower the cost of Gasol, but it appears that we may have been given the annual Gasol trade rumors runaround by Los Angeles.
