The NBA trade deadline is in just over 48 hours, but there is already increased talk about the free agent class that hits the market or can possibly hit the market this summer. LeBron James is a player who has attained global notoriety, so much so that he’s shifting the focus of a lot of people away from the impending trade deadline all the way to free agency in the summer.

But while fans are already starting to get excited over The Decision Part II, we may not even see LeBron hit free agency and if he does, it might not be for long. According to the AP, LeBron has stated that he just can’t imagine leaving Miami right now.

"“At this point, I can’t,” James said. “At this point, I can’t. We don’t know what can happen from now to July, so what I’ve been able to do this whole season to this point is just worry about what’s at hand and that’s winning another championship. And hopefully at the end of this year I can put myself in a position where I can hold that Larry O’Brien Trophy up once again and then I will assess what I have to do with my future after that.”"

Of course, LeBron has always had laser focus, so free agency is probably the furthest thing in his mind at this point. Sooner or later he’s going to have to seriously address his future, but he’d prefer to wait until after he’s a three-time NBA champion to start thinking about that.
