The Washington Redskins have one of the most highly sought after back up quarterbacks in the NFL with Kirk Cousins, so it is only natural that there are teams around the league looking to upgrade under center who are looking at Cousins as a potential trade target.

Unfortunately for those interested, the Washington Post says that Cousins is “going nowhere.”

After mortgaging their future to trade up for Robert Griffin III just two years ago, it seemed like there was a chance the team could move Cousins in the offseason to pick up some of the draft picks they had lost, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

It is unfortunate to see a player as talented as Cousins riding the pine, but if he continues to show up like he has when given his previous opportunities the Redskins could have trade offers coming their way that they simply cannot refuse.
