Former Baylor Bears’ (and College of Southern Idaho) point guard Pierre Jackson has been a star in the NBA’s Developmental League.

Jackson was the 42nd overall pick in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers and his rights are owned by the New Orleans Pelicans, who acquired him in the Jrue Holiday-Nerlens Noel draft day trade.

Jackson obviously wants to play in the NBA and because he has played so well in the D-League, he is hopeful the Pelicans will trade him and he can officially begin his NBA career.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Denver Nuggets have also talked to the Pelicans about acquiring Jackson. The Washington Wizards have discussed the acquisition of Jackson and second-year guard Austin Rivers, who the Pelicans have also made available.
