The Boston Celtics have been a team that has been both in trade rumors and watching them from a distance. But with around 2 hours to go until the deadline passes, Danny Ainge has thrust his team back into the thick of trade rumors with word that Rajon Rondo is available.
Obviously, everyone short of LeBron James is available at the deadline for the right price, which is why an NBA executive that SI’s Chris Mannix talked to believes that Rondo will be moved if singe hears an offer he likes.
Continuing to hear Boston will move anyone for picks. When asked if that included Rajon Rondo, one GM said, "for the right offer, yes."

That's not to say Boston is shopping Rondo. But if someone is willing to pay a premium for him, he's not off the table.

This isn’t really a new notion, as the Celtics have flirted with the idea of trading Rondo in the past. But while they have yet to move him, it appears that Boston is challenging teams to make them an offer they can’t refuse and so far it looks like the challenge has been widely accepted.
