The NBA trade deadline is approaching very fast and teams are starting to look at deals to make in the 11th hour. One such deal involved the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers swapping Iman Shumpert and Raymond Felton for Matt Barnes and Darren Collison.

After a day of hearing about the deal all day, it appears that nothing much else is going to happen. According to NBA scribe David Aldridge, the Clippers and Knicks are not expected to move forward with discussion of the current deal and it’s unclear if the deal will be revisited and revised before tomorrow’s deadline.

This is s a blow to those who were expecting to see a splashy move made by the Knicks ahead of the deadline, but there’s still hope that a deal will get done in some form.

UPDATE: Iman Shumpert sprained his MCL on Wednesday night, which means this deal likely would have ended with that if it hadn’t just been nixed hours earlier.
