Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but the Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to keep Dion Waiters through the trade deadline this year. Hopefully the rumor doesn’t change yet again by the time this article is done, but that’s really been the nature of trade rumors surrounding Waiters all month long.

Waiters has been staying in Cleveland one minute, traded the next then staying and so forth. Sean Deveney from Sporting News trying to cut through all the speculation by citing sources that believe the Cavaliers will hang onto Waiters despite the fact that they’re still receiving calls about him.

"Teams continue to call the Cavs about Waiters, but as a source told Sporting News on  Tuesday there is “nothing imminent there” on a Waiters trade. In fact, one league executive said, “It seems like they are going to keep him.”"

The Cavaliers have been wanting Waiters and star guard Kyrie Irving to bond on and off the court and start a relationship. So far that seems to be happening and keeping Waiters seems to be what will happen in Cleveland.
