The Houston Rockets are getting nostalgic about an event that occurred a couple months ago it seems, as the team i back in trade talks about Omer Asik. But rather than learning from the past and how trade talks for the Turkish big man fell through with the Boston Celtics, the Rockets are in the same rut and appear to not be moving very quickly to trade Asik.

After reports surfaced yesterday that the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers were in talks for Asik, Sam Amick from USA Today reports that talks have died down again and there’s a possibility that Asik stays in Houston — again.

This is a true broken record type of situation as the Rockets seem to want to move Asik but want more than he’s worth in return. He’s going to be due roughly $17 million over the next 100 games of his contract, which is not really what you’d call an appealing trade chip for the Rockets.
