The Washington Wizards are searching for veteran guard before the trade deadline passes, and they are starting to run out of time to find a deal they like. While they’ve been rumored with names like Jarrett Jack and others, it appears the Luke Ridnour may be a guy that they could end up with after the deadline.

According to Bucks writer Gery Woelfel, the Bucks guard may be what the Wizards are looking for, although it’s still unclear if that deal is in the works.

Washington is serious about making a deep playoff run to get their young players postseason experience, and having Ridnour not only helps them stay in that battle, but it gives the team a veteran presence int he backcourt. John Wall is the future, and Ridnour may be able to come in and help the team both on and off the court.

The deal isn’t official and may not even be being discussed, but the Wizards want a veteran guard and Ridnour fits the bill.
