The Los Angeles Lakers weren’t able to make much noise at the NBA’s trade deadline, so the team will continue on as they have been – with a first class ticket to the NBA’s lottery.

They’ll do so with Steve Nash, that is, when he can play as head coach Mike D’Antoni all but suggested that Nash will likely be day-to-day for the rest of the season.

"D’Antoni conceded Steve Nash may be day to day for the rest of the season"

Prior to his return before the NBA’s All-Star break, Nash had only played in six games due to injury and his been forced to miss multiple games since his return despite playing limited minutes.

It’s not as if the Lakers need Nash, per say, but you’d like to think he’d be able to get healthy going into next season which looks pretty questionable at this point.

It’s possible the Lakers may cut Nash at season end which will allow them to spread out his final year of his contract over the course of four seasons. If such is to happen, Nash said he’d either retire or attempt to play for the Los Angeles Clippers.
