The Sacramento Kings pulled off one of the bigger trades of the deadline, but it’s a trade that hardly helps them long-term. In fact, while the Brooklyn Nets secured Marcus Thornton — who still has two years and $17 million left on his contract — the Kings received two aged veterans with one of whom not being very happy to have arrived in Sacramento.

Reports have begun to surface that Jason Terry is upset that he was traded to the Kings and this has prompted buyout rumors to surface. Sam Amick of USA TODAY Sports doesn’t fully get behind the reports that Terry is throwing a fit over being traded, but does say that a buyout could happen if he’s really that upset.

"For those who wondered, I’m told Kings have no plans to buy out either Jason Terry or Reggie Evans. That being said on the Jason Terry front, have to wonder if Kings’ plans change if he’s as unhappy being in Sacto as some have said."

March 1st is the deadline for teams to waive a player and still have him eligible for another team’s postseason roster. Terry falls into the category of a player teams like the Heat, Mavericks or even the Suns would like to add in order to bolster their postseason chances as much as possible.
