The Baltimore Ravens have been thrust into a situation they want no part of but are having to deal with. The arrest of running back Ray Rice for allegedly knocking out his fiancée has cast doubt over Rice’s future with the team, but so far there has been no threats made by the Ravens or any indications made that they’re thinking about cutting Rice loose.
In fact, the exact opposite is happening as head coach John Harbaugh said this week that Rice’s job is safe and he’s in no danger of being cut.
When asked if there was a scenario where Ray Rice wouldn't be on the team, John Harbaugh said: 'Not that I'm aware of.'

Of course, it’s way too early to be thinking about football, although it’s eventually going to have to be discussed. This is a serious situation that Rice is involved in and it’s one that has seen players get cut over. Speculation doesn’t help, as Rice hasn’t been proven guilty of anything yet.
But if he is further implicated in the physical abuse of his fiancée, the Ravens will eventually have to step in and take care of their end of things one way or another.
