There were some mild questions about the future of New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin after his team turned in an abysmal season, but all doubts and fears about his job security have been put to rest for now. This doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, as the respect that the Giants front office and ownership has for Coughlin is well known. They didn’t once questions his future with the team during this season and refused to indulge in coaching rumors afterwords. Of all the coaches who had bad seasons, Coughlin’s name wasn’t ever seriously mentioned as one in jeopardy of being fired, and that shows the respect he has from his bosses in New York.
Coughlin won’t coach forever, but he’s clearly not being run out of town by the Giants.
