There are plenty of questions surrounding the Oakland Raiders starting quarterback in 2014, with earlier reports saying the team will listen to trade offers for Terrelle Pryor. That would leave Matt McGloin, who was undrafted in 2013, as the team’s top option.

On Thursday at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Raiders head coach Dennis Allen was asked if he thought the team’s starter was currently on the roster and he was unable to provide an answer.

“I don’t know the answer to that yet. It’s obviously a position we’re going to look at to try and improve,” Allen said, via the Contra Costa Times. “The quarterback is the backbone of your team so we have to make sure that when we go out there this year we put ourselves in the best position to have success.”

There is a real chance that the Raiders could target a quarterback early in the 2014 NFL Draft in May, which would give them a new player to add to the mix and one that would likely be the Day 1 starter.

Of course, the team has plenty of other concerns on the roster and will need to boost their overall talent if they want anyone to succeed.
