The Texas Longhorns flipped a commitment from the Baylor Bears.

3-star offensive tackle Ronnie Major decommitted from Baylor and committed to Texas on Saturday.

The 6’6, 290-pounder attends Huntsville High School in Huntsville, Texas

Jeff Howe of 24/7 Sports has the scoop.

"Not only did the 6-foot-6-inch, 290-pound four-star offensive tackle commit to the Longhorns just a few hours after arriving on campus, he did so by switching his commitment from reigning Big 12 champion Baylor. Major represents the first flip from a Big 12 or in-state Charle Strong and his staff have pulled off in their short time at Texas.Major is a massive human being. He’s every bit the size he’s listed and of all of the linemen who entered the Moncrief Complex for the junior day, Major gets the award for being the most physically impressive on the hoof."

Major committed to the Bears way back in August and appeared to be a firm commitment.

Major is considered the 60th best offensive tackle prospect, 61st best overall prospect in Texas and 550th best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
