The San Francisco 49ers have bene to the postseason the last three years under Jim Harbaugh’s watch with all three years seeing the team play in the NFC Championship game and one year ending in a Super Bowl trip. It’s safe to say that all that Jim Harbaugh does is win and win big, but he also wears people down which is something has begun to come up more and more as he enters the final years of his contract with the Niners.

San Jose Mercury News reporter Tim Kawakami points out that Harbaugh is a great coach, and the 49ers don’t doubt that, but he’s not the easiest person to get along with and that may cause problems moving forward.

"I know some 49ers fans–or mostly Harbaugh fans–don’t want to hear this, but the reality is that Harbaugh is a combustible commodity who has 49ers HQ very unsettled most days and now he’s coming up on a contract extension that he really thought he deserved last year, so things are a little pent-up between coach and management."

This doesn’t mean Harbaugh will be fired, but it could mean that all of this tension comes to a head when contract negotiations are brought up. The big story of the week is how the Cleveland Browns almost acquired Harbaugh from the Niners and the only reasons it’s a big story is because there’s so much dismissed and denied yet obvious tension between the Niners and Harbaugh.

Winning changes everything, but Harbaugh does nothing but and he still seems to kick up trouble with the people who pay him.
