The Los Angeles Lakers are looking at a season that is quickly going down the drain, and the fact that Kobe Bryant isn’t in the lineup is just making things worse. The Lakers are sinking fast in the West and they’re not going to get any help from Kobe anytime soon.

According to Ramona Shelburne from ESPNLosAngeles, Kobe will need at least another three weeks to heal, which means it’s becoming more likely that he misses the rest of the season.

Per ESPN.com:

"Lakers guard Kobe Bryant was examined by team physician Dr. Steve Lombardo on Friday, and it was determined the 18-year veteran will be sidelined another three weeks before being re-evaluated because of continued pain, swelling and soreness in his injured left knee."

With under three months left to play in the season, Kobe’s return in 2014 looks doubtful. Many want him to shut it down for the rest of the year and it looks like that might soon be his only option this season.
