The NFL offseason is upon us and that means that free agency is just around the corner. While most teams are caught up in scouting the combine, a few are starting to also pay heavy attention to the upcoming free agent class and are determining who much they want to spend.

When it comes to the Denver Broncos, the checkbook is going to come out in a big way. According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, John Elway has stated that he’s not afraid to go out and spend in free agency this year to make sure another Super Bowl caliber team is on the field in 2014.

Not only that, but Elway said Peyton Manning would be willing to give up salary to help bring in free agents if needed.

Per the Denver Post,:

"“I think we’ll be fine,” Elway said. “I don’t think (Manning) would have any problem, if we needed to find some cap room, that he wouldn’t help us out.”"

The Broncos are in a win-now situation and it’s sort of dumb to build for the future. Peyton Manning is here now and he’s showing a resurgence in glory, and when that happens you live in the moment and don’t over look it to gander into the future.
