The Denver Broncos got to the Super Bowl thanks to their high flying receivers, but they didn’t do much once they got there. But while the Super Bowl was wildly unimpressive, the Broncos have the offseason task of keeping their ver impressive receiving corps as intact as they possibly can.

One of the top free agent targets this year is expected to be Eric Decker, one of Peyton Manning’s favorite targets. Denver has a chance to re-sign him, but according to John Elway, he’s going to let Decker hit free agency so that the market can be set before a contract is offered.

Per ESPN.com:

"“I think they have to hit the market, the market sets those, especially where you look where we are and what we have coming up,” Elway said. “Both Thomases are up next year. And Wes is, too. So all that plays into it. We’d love to have Eric back, but he’s made he comment he’s like to be back. He’s got to do what’s best for Eric, too, and vice versa. That’s why we go through this process.”"

It’s clear that the Broncos would want Decker back, but it’s also clear that the team isn’t going to set the market for him in the process.
