The New York Giants turned in an abysmal season in 2013 and as a result, some changes are being made. While the team may want some of their exiting free agents back, they’re not going to overpay to make sure they don’t hit the market and by doing so are running the risk of losing them.
Hakeem Nicks has been known to be walking for a while, but the Giants confirmed on Saturday that both Nicks and defensive end Justin Tuck will be heading to free agency and the team has no plans of trying to stop that from happening.
While the Giants need upgrades, they’re going to be looking elsewhere from Tuck and Nicks to find solutions to their problems. While a return for either isn’t being ruled out, the likelihood that they’re wearing new uniforms next season is considerably high.
