WWE Elimination Chamber 2014 results: Big E Langston defeats Jack Swagger to retain Intercontinental Title (GIF)

WWE Elimination Chamber will be LIVE on Sunday, February 23rd.
The first match of the 2014 Elimination Chamber WWE pay-per-view was the Intercontinental Championship match between Jack Swagger and the title holder Big E Langston. Of course Zeb Colter gave some rant comparing the polar vortex to illegal immigrants.
The two started the match with some grappling, both trading momentum before Swagger left the ring to get some advice from Colter. When he came back in he went to work on Langston, but then Langston landed two belly-to-belly throws back-to-back. He followed that up with a spear to Swagger’s midsection while he was standing in the corner.
Swagger retreated from the ring again but Langston followed him and slammed his head off the steel steps.
They got back into the ring and their less than entertaining match continued to “boring chants.” They then started chanting “We The People” while Swagger stomped on Langston following an attempt to roll him into a pin.
Swagger whipped Langston into the corner, but he countered with an elbow and hit him with a belly-to-belly. Langston went off the ropes but Swagger caught him and hit him with a spine buster. Langston kicked out of the pinning.
Swagger was standing on the edge of the ring after Langston caught him trying to jump over him in the corner. Langston went off the opposite ropes and speared Swagger off the edge of the ring onto the floor of the arena. The crowd was impressed and got behind the match.
Langston rolled Swagger into the ring and went for a pin but Swagger kicked out. Langston then went to the top rope but Swagger got up and hit him with a right hand. Swagger threw Langston off the top rope and went for a pin but Langston kicked out. Swagger than hit Langston with a spear in the middle of the ring.
Swagger locked in the Patriot Lock, Big E tried to reverse but he couldn’t. Langston got out of the hold and they traded strikes in the middle of the ring. Swagger locked in a gut wrench but got out of it. He went off the ropes again but Swagger caught him. Immediately after that Langston bounces off the ropes to take out Swagger.
Langston took the straps off but Swagger quickly got him in the Patriot Lock. Langston stood up with Swagger applying the Patriot Lock. He then kicked Swagger in the back of the head and landed a Big Ending. He followed that up with a pin to retain the Intercontinental Title.
