With the NBA trade deadline behind us, it’s time to look ahead tot he buyout deadline on March 1st, and one name that some are keeping an eye on is Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva. While he hasn’t yet been bought out by Detroit, there’s growing belief that he might be and if that’s the case then he could be headed south.
According to Gery Woelfel of The Journal Times, should Villanueva besought out, he’s expressed an interest in signing with the Houston Rockets.
Hearing Charlie Villanueva, if he reaches buyout with Pistons, wouldn't mind latching on with Rockets.

The question is if the Rockets would want him or not and it’s hard to see them passing up interest in Villanueva. While not a standout stud, he’s more than serviceable and could provide excellent rotational depth for the Rockets in the second half of the season.
Like all of these buyout rumors though, Villanueva needs to be bought out before anything can be taken seriously.
