When Washington Wizards big man Nene went down on Sunday night, fans thought to themselves what else could go wrong to derail this spectacular season the team is having. MRI results will reveal just how bad things are for Nene but there isn’t much optimism in Washington on Monday.

According to Michael Lee from the Washington Post, the Wizards fear that Nene’s injury is serious and that he’s going to be out for the rest of the season.

Per The Washington Post:

"There is a fear among some members of the Washington Wizards that Nene is done for the season with a torn ligament in his left knee, although the team won’t know for certain until the Brazilian big man meets with team doctors and has an MRI exam on Monday. According to a person with knowledge of the situation, “It doesn’t look good.”"

It’d be a truly crushing blow to the Wizards but one that they’d have to fight through. Just when it looked like a winner was coming to Washington, an injury has cast some doubt. No official word has come in on Nene but it’s not at all looking positive.
