Few men know Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones better than former head coach Barry Switzer, who says despite reports suggesting otherwise, the legendary owner doesn’t interfere with his coaches.

Hoping to clear up a few rumors about Jones, Switzer made the comments during a radio appearance on 105.3 The Fan.

"“He doesn’t interfere with the coaches. He doesn’t have anything to do with coaching the team. He doesn’t tell you the play, what schemes to run, how to set the board — the draft board. He leaves that up to the people that know what they’re doing — the scouts, the coaches that evaluate.”"

Switzer and the radio hosts were speaking about Jones’ 25-year anniversary of owning the Cowboys and he didn’t appear to have any incentive to protect Jones with his comments, though they were a little odd considering how often Jones gets blamed for meddling..

So what do you say, FanSided? Is Jones interfering with his coaching staff just a misconception? Maybe it’s just not as bad as many have reported? Or is Switzer off his rocker?
